Our Process

Inquire

After exploring your options, please fill out the inquiry form HERE to reserve your date. This form is used to gather information and to ensure presses are available.

When the date is confirmed open, an invoice for 50% will be sent to hold the date.

After your event, it’s time to deliver your bouquet. We require extra flowers to be sent with your bouquet to insure we will have enough blooms for the frame and the best flowers to choose from. Sending a bridesmaid bouquet or some flowers from your centerpieces is a good option.

In order to get the best press possible, we would like the flowers to arrive within 1-3 days of the event, but we will accept up to 5 days after. Local Iowans can schedule a drop off at my residence in Washington, IA. If you aren’t local, you can ship your blooms. It is recommended to ship overnight. If they are not received within the 5 day window, the flowers may be deemed unusable.

You can find shipping instructions HERE.

Preserve

After receiving your flowers, they are carefully conditioned for a day before the preservation process begins. Pressing is a slow but rewarding method that ensures the best results. The flowers are gently deconstructed and placed in handmade wooden presses, where they are pressed for 8 weeks. This timeframe allows them to fully dry and flatten. Once the flowers are ready, the design process brings them back to life in a beautiful, lasting arrangement.

A design mock-up will be sent to the customer, where they will have the chance to make changes to the design up to 3 times. Once approved, the flowers will be framed in a handmade wooden frame made by me. Stain options will be sent for the customer to choose from.

The total time frame is approximately 3-4 months.

Unboxing

When the frame is complete, it will be shipped to you for free! If you are local, you can schedule a pick-up time to get it sooner.
