How should I care for my flowers before dropping them off?

Hydrated flowers are the best flowers. You should cut your stems and keep your flowers in cool water out of direct sunlight until dropped off or shipped. A good way to keep your blooms in good condition is to assign someone to take care of your bouquet after your ceremony. If you plan to do a bouquet toss, consider using a different bouquet as bruised petals won’t turn out well in the press.

The sooner we get the flowers, the better. Ideally, 1-3 days after the event, but we will accept up to 5 days. Anything after the 5 day mark won’t be accepted.

How long does the process take?

Pressing is a slow art form. Flowers are kept in the press for 8 weeks to ensure that they are dry before framing. Once the frame is made and designing has been approved, the completion timeframe is around 12-14 weeks.

Will my flowers stay the same color and look the same? Do all flowers press well?

Almost all flowers and greenery will press and dry somewhat different than when fresh. Dried flowers stand a better chance at holding their shape and color, although there will be some changes and over time they may begin to flake. Please note that natural fading will occur over time. It adds to the beauty and charm of the piece.

While we try our very best to press each flower and piece of greenery supplied, due to the organic nature of the process, we can't guarantee that all flowers will press perfectly. The condition we receive the flowers in usually determines how well the flowers press. The fresher they are, the better the results. We use whichever flowers and foliage come out of the presses looking their best. White flowers tend to brown or yellow. Light colored flowers tend to do the same, while brighter colors tend to turn darker.

You do have the option to have white flowers color corrected.

What do you do with left over flowers?

We strive to preserve every flower possible in order to have the best selection for your frame design. Although we would love to use every flower in the design, not all will fit with the frame size selected or style. Any left over flowers will be kept for reuse.

If I send a vase or ribbon, etc…with my bouquet will it be returned?

No. Please do not send any items with your bouquet that won’t be for your frame or that you are wanting returned. If you are local and choose to drop-off and pick-up your frame, your items can be returned.

What happens if my frame arrives damaged?

In the event that this occurs, please leave the piece as is, send us photos and an email and then reseal the box. Once you notify us we will send you a prepaid return label, repair the frame at our shop, and send it back to you as soon as possible.

Can you put a locket, lace, ribbon, piece of dress, etc…in my frame?

Yes! Your frame is customized to you. All frames are made in house, so we are able to incorporate flatter items into a float frame and bulkier items into a shadow box.

How long will my flowers last?

As long as you take care of your frame, your flowers will last forever! But please be aware that your blooms WILL fade overtime. We don't use any dies, preservatives, or chemical enhancements during the preserving process. All of our frames are made with UV protective glass to help slow down fading. Make sure to keep your flowers away from direct sunlight and away from any humid areas (ex. the bathroom). If you follow those steps, your flowers should stay around forever.

What if I’m undecided about the design style, frame color, etc..?

No worries! You have time! Changes can be made throughout the process up until the design is approved. The only change that cannot be made is whether the flowers are pressed or dried.
